I study the gap between what institutions promise and who they actually reach. Footnotes optional.

I'm a political scientist in training, doing my master's between Stockholm University and LMU Munich and living in Munich. I work where research meets policy, mostly on climate, migration and gender, and usually with Pakistan somewhere in the frame.

So far

I spent six months at Stockholm Environment Institute, in the Organizational Results, Learning and Impact team, working on how evidence turns into real-world change. Short version: good research does not travel on its own. Someone has to carry it.

I'm a graduate student assistant at the Embassy of Pakistan to Sweden and Finland, and I sit on the advisory board of EHRDF, a Pakistani foundation for education and skills. Before all of that I was writing. Columns in The Nation, op-eds in The Express Tribune, and most recently a piece for SIANI about women farmers in Punjab who do the adaptation work and still never get a visit from the extension officer.

Since July 2026 I've been making the same arguments on Instagram with fewer footnotes, for an audience that mostly agrees and a comment section that sometimes does not.

Next

I want to work in communications, learning and impact at an international research organization, and keep doing policy research on climate, migration and gender in South Asia. The goal is simple to say and hard to do: make sure the evidence reaches the people it is about.

My goodbye poem at SEI said I move at 200 km/h. Fair. I also stop for sunsets.
